Hacked Off today reacted to speculation in iNews that part two of the Leveson Inquiry will not take place, and that Labour would betray the victims of the press.
A recent article published in The New European speculated that if “Starmer wins a majority of 218 or bigger”, he will have the power to amend the Royal Charter on the self-regulation of the press.
We believe the press should be held to standards which protect the public, strengthen democracy and safeguard freedom of expression.
