Hacked Off comment on new Phone-Hacking revelations

09/10/2015

Commenting on the admissions made by convicted phone-hacker Greg Miskiw on Byline.com and Channel 4 News, Dr Evan Harris, Joint Executive Director of Hacked Off, said,“What victims of phone hacking and other forms of press abuse have always wanted is not journalists going to jail or newspapers closing, but the full truth to come out, which did not happen at the previous trials because the likes of Miskiw and Mulcaire would not testify.”"That is why it is so important that the postponed second part of the Leveson Inquiry - which will establish who did what to whom and how the police failed – takes place as originally planned after the last of the trials next year."ENDSFor further information please call 07554665940 or email press@hackinginquiry.orgNotes to Editors1.
