Hacked Off’s Fifth Annual Leveson Lecture with Baroness Warsi

Join us on Tuesday 14th November 2017 for our 5th Leveson Lecture in central London to be delivered by Baroness Warsi, former Chairman of the Conservative Party and the first Muslim to be appointed to the cabinet.The Lecture will take place on 14th November 2017 from 6.30pm close to Oxford Circus tube station in Central London, and will be hosted by the University of Westminster. Tickets are free but must be reserved to guarantee your place.Just yesterday Steve Coogan finally settled his hacking claim against Trinity Mirror Group, and said that the second part of the Leveson Inquiry must proceed in order that various news executives could be properly scrutinised. After many years of denial and prolonged litigation, the Mirror conceded that “he and other victims should not have been denied the truth for so long”.Five years on from the historic cross-party agreement on press regulation, come and hear Baroness Warsi talk about what she thinks the government must do now.Date: Tuesday 14 November – 18.30pm.Location: University of Westminster
